Upper Allen Township police were called to a  single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Arcona Road and East Winding Hill Road at 9:50 p.m., according to a release by the department.

Through their investigation, police learned the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta was going too fast and blew through a stop sign before crossing the road, hitting an embankment— becoming airborne, the release explains.

The Jetta continued a short distance before striking a tree, but neither the man driving nor the woman in the front seat passenger were hurt, according to the police.

A boy in the back seat was not wearing a seat belt and was taken to an area hospital by Penn State Health Life Lion EMS, police say.
